The Yard: Bushwick’s Still Secret Art Park

In a parking lot not open to the public, and its location undisclosed, there is a new Bushwick outdoor art gallery. Hosting over 30 pieces from the likes of Col, Shiro, Chris RWK, King Bee, and more, the Yard is quickly becoming one of Bushwick’s best kept secret art havens.

Giz has had a busy summer. First, his show at Outlaw Arts with Ghost was a huge success. We saw all of the old school RIS cats come out of the woodwork. Than he got the showcase piece at the Bushwick Collective doing a huge up down whole wall looking over St. Nicholas Ave. Now he has found a new home here at the Yard.

Most of the works are done on the side of dusty cinder blocks that form the fence separating the Yard from the rest of Bushwick. The main showcase of the Yard hosts a huge collaboration wall including Shiro one and her hip hop characters. Definitely check out her new line of tote bags if you have not already. The Bronx native King Bee staying true to himself creating a new set of buzz along side our mate Epic Uno doing the dude with the epic (no pun intended) mustache over his well executed piece.

Further down the showcase wall you get a much better idea of Epic’s piece with the brilliant purple 3d melting into his character. Above Epic’s piece you will see the fly on the wall done by zesoner. Zes has been making a huge impact in NYC and has done a huge wall for the hostel outside of the yard (not pictured). Also making an appearance is Chris RWK’s character poking his head through to the frame.

Col Walnuts dropped another 3d plane masterpiece and there will definitely be more happening at the yard. Thanks to @leannav for the pics.
