Top 5 of April
We had a great month of terrific new tours and Workshops. We had a big group from Canada do a workshop with Cram, Z-productivity, and Ramiro. Starfightera did three brand new works in Bushwick, Williamsburg, and Downtown Manhattan. A class from an arts university joined us from the Caribbean and Columbia Business School Arts and Culture club came through as well. We had over 100 people come to our tours and workshops in April!
We had a great group of 50 kids come from Sands Secondary in Ottawa Canada do our Graff tours experience. We split the kids up into four groups accomplishing three works of art, individualized t-shirts, and a tour of the Lower East Side all in two hours. It was definitely a workout.
The t-shirt station at first street green park was bustling with people over the two hour stretch. We had a new selection of NY Stencil and fun colors to play with. Everyone wanted to create the best souvenir for their trip.
The kids created a large canvas for the group to take home. Led by Ramiro Davaro-Comas and Z-Productivity the created a unique work of art in the style of the artists. Ramiro’s illustrative style translates well to canvas as he teaches the kids the tips and techniques of creating skinny lines with spray paint.
Starfightera one of our favorite artists came to NYC from LA for a month and killed it. First She visited the Bushwick Collective with her crazy shading and powerful characters.
Then she hit up Hotel Rivington on the Lower East Side….

A nice change of pace from our typical reporting.
Columbia Business School’s Art and Culture Club did a club meet and greet for a private Bushwick Collective Tour so I took them to the old 5 Pointz Curator now Wall Assassin Meres One’s wall at the collective. Meres did this at last year’s block party and don’t forget to come to this year’s on the first weekend of June.
Our Favorite tour of April came from the students of Campus Caribbean des Arts from Martinique! What a unique group of kids having a blast in NYC. I told them about this Li-Hill x Bushwick Collective Wall and they all Hip Hop posed in front of it. Couldn’t be more thrilled to have these kids.
